Job Title: Assistant Shipping/Receiving Warehouse Clerk Department: Material Management Reports To: Shipping and receiving Manager FLSA Status: Non-exempt GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB. Insure that all incoming packages are swiftly and accurately received then processed, and/or that all outgoing shipments are swiftly, accurately and appropriately packaged and shipped against packing lists on time. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. - Receive all production and non production material, route according to instructions and complete system transactions. - International shipping experience preferred- not required - Stock inventory and issue inventory as appropriate and complete carrier system transactions. - Pick material, package and prepare shipments to customer orders. - Provide cycle count support as directed. - Operate forklift and pallet jack as required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent; 3-5 years receiving/shipping/expediting or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred- not required Logistics experience dealing with small parcel and LTL shipments Experience in International Customs paperwork procedures preferred- not required Good communication skills Good Computer skills MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
