    ABOUT EXTEND:

    Extend is modernizing the $45 billion-per year extended warranty and protection plan industry using cutting edge technology, and top notch customer service.

    Our API-first solution allows any merchant to offer extended warranties and protection plans, both online and offline, while also providing a merchant's end customers with a vastly improved and modern support experience that eliminates many of the issues customers face today with legacy underwriters.

    We are a venture backed startup based in downtown San Francisco that is led by founders who have previously had multiple successful exit. Extend is simplifying the technology stack for the extended warranty industry, in the same way that Stripe did for online payments and Affirm did for consumer point of sale financing.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    • You will have a unique opportunity to play a significant role in driving strategic growth for a Series A startup on a rocketship growth trajectory
    • Build and nurture strong relationships that understand the needs of our enterprise merchants and help find solutions that provide value for them and their customers.
    • Identify existing and new product features and solutions that can improve the merchant and customer experience as we expand to new verticals. This role will be key in determining how our product needs to evolve to create a step-change increase in value for our business
    • Manage all cross-functional execution needed throughout the sales-cycles and beyond: Business Development, Customer Success, Marketing, Product Management, Finance, Administration, Legal, and Customer Operations
    • Ensure excellent service and communication from Extend to our partners; ensure excellent representation of our partners to internal Extend stakeholders
    • Influence product marketing and competitive positioning by providing thought leadership and help in building out the Extend “playbook”
    • Execute on goals for new partnerships and launches
    • Think critically about the growth of the organization and play a role in shaping the roadmap for future market expansion

    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: 

    • A curious, entrepreneurial leader with plenty of grit, analytical prowess, creative thinking, and initiative, who has a deep understanding of - and empathy for - our retail partners' different needs
    • 5+ years of solution selling, management consulting, finance, or strategic operations with a digital product & experience 
    • It's a plus if you have experience in the Retail or FinTech landscape
    • Ambition: This is a role that will evolve into a leader at the company as we scale the organization and create new business units. We want some who will embrace the personal and professional challenges of this unique opportunity to build a world-class global organization and grow their career in the process 
    • Communication & Relationships: Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships both internally and with C-level decision makers within the Retail vertical. Important to have the ability to “own the room” and establish a presence with internal and external  stakeholders
    • Understands P&L and quantitative levers used by our merchants that will help drive sales and build a business case
    • Able to look beyond your biases and opinions to deliver the best possible solution for customers
    • Outgoing team player excited to work cross-functionally and build meaningful relationships with all stakeholders involved
    • Go above and beyond to push the Extend product team and help find solutions to un-meet needs of prospective enterprise merchant partners
    • Proactive Leadership: Seeks out new opportunities, drives projects, and navigates ambiguity with grace
