    We are seeking a driven and innovative Research and Development Scientist to create and accelerate the development and delivery of new applied electrochemistry technologies, high-purity chemical products, and solutions for the markets we serve. You will collaborate broadly to identify market needs and new opportunities, solve customer problems, and create value through new product and process development. This role is critical to delivering the company’s strategy and will be instrumental in delivering the successful development and deployment of the company’s products and services across global markets.     As a Research & Development Scientist, Electrochemistry, you will:

    • Comply with all safety, health, and environmental requirements.
    • Manage and run projects in R&D Laboratory related to new product and/or new electrochemical process development.
    • Design and execute experiments to collect data for new and existing process development and production troubleshooting.
    • Analyze data and report results/finding to management and stakeholders, plan for next steps.
    • Interact with key stakeholders to align project goals, scope, timeline, budget, deliverables, and document and present regular status reports.
    • Consistently engage across the organization to develop, establish, and maintain partnerships within technology teams, EHS, procurement, quality, marketing, production, and all other stakeholders of the projects.
    • Search literature for ideas and initiate new development projects.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum BS 5+, MS 3+, or PHD + PostDoc experience, and experience in one of the following fields: Chemistry (Electrochemistry), Chemical Engineering, Materials Science.

    Experience in chlor-alkali, battery industry, chemical manufacturing, and other areas where electrochemistry is applied as fundamental science.

    • Scientific Acumen: Good at designing experiments and data analysis, able to draw sound conclusions from the data, and to summarize and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Familiar with concepts, equipment, and terminology fundamental to practical electrochemistry such as: cell configuration, electrolysis/electrodialysis methods, membrane technology, rectifiers/potentiostats/power supplies, anode/cathode materials, etc.
    • Global Teamwork: Build relationships and work with global teams across the company’s organizations.
    • Influence: Consider all perspectives and use all appropriate approaches to move partners in the desired direction.
    • The ability to plan, execute and manage complex projects in a dynamic team environment is essential.
    • Computer skills (e.g., Microsoft office suite and specialty software applications as needed)
