    SUMMARY OF PURPOSE

    The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for working directly with the corporate B2C PR firm in managing the delivery of press and media programs. We are open to remote employment with the ability to travel once per quarter to our Corporate Headquarters, located in Austin, TX.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Infuse the Patch Values into your work ethic, every day and every interaction.
    • Manage the B2C PR vendor programs, facilitate internal reviews and approvals of those programs, coordinate timing and brand unity of press initiatives with related marketing initiatives, and deliver media outreach campaigns, ensuring that the content and execution are consistently excellent.
    • Work with VP, Communications & Content, to develop and implement the Kasasa brand PR and media strategy in order to build the Kasasa reputation with consumers and ensure effective media coverage.
    • Oversee the creation of media releases, bylines, story pitches, and other content; relationship management with thought leaders, journalists, and key influencers; and press promotional events and programming.
    • Monitor PR listening platforms and analyze media performance.
    • Organize, track, and communicate public relations programs.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, advertising, communications, journalism, marketing, or related field required, or PR postgraduate qualification.
    • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in public relations, either in-house or agency.
    • Proven track record of developing and delivering media or communication strategies to generate positive coverage and organic traffic to owned channels.
    • Experience working closely with journalists and/or influencers and responding to media inquiries.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, such as diplomacy, listening, and relationship building.
    • Excellent writing and editing skills to provide compelling content.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Office 365 a plus.
    • Familiarity with video conferencing platforms such as Zoom.
    • Experience in managing media tracking and analysis in Cision or TrendKite a plus.
    • Must be legally allowed to work in the U.S.
