RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Combine UX thinking with design execution, to produce usable and intuitive design interfaces.
- Work within Visual & Branding strategy to create software applications layouts with a D2C / B2C focus.
- Design and ideate for multi- channel experience.
- Drive user experience of the projects by applying an iterative prototyping and evaluation process and ensuring best practices in usability across domains/platforms are adopted.
- Proficient with Heuristic evaluations and usability requirement gathering.
- Adapt User-Centric design methodology & Conduct Usability Reviews.
- Generate User Scenarios based on domain understanding and analysis.
- Interpret data and qualitative feedback.
- Define workflows through paper prototypes, conceptual sketches or Storyboards.
- Determine information architecture and create sitemaps.
- Create prototypes and wireframes with detailed Interactions and with a focus on ‘Attention to Detail’.
- Ensure the workflows, designs and visual language align with the business goals.
- Work closely with project team to implement and deliver the final product.
- Define and Communicate Design Rationale to Internal & External Stakeholders.
- Define and Design Interaction Patterns & Guidelines applicable for the Product Suite.
- Document Design Best practices for multi-channel experience.
- Understand and Analyze the Functional Flow / Wireframes to create an underlying visual language and theme for the Applications.
- Create Information Visualizations with focus on ‘Attention to Detail’.
- Define Visual Style Guide for the company’s suite of products across verticals.
- Strong knowledge on emerging trends and visual design paradigms in the Market.
- Define visual design standards to determine the Look and Feel for the Applications.
- Design detailed Screens and pixel perfect artifacts to evangelize product capabilities.
- Plan and conduct usability testing and other design research to inform design decisions.
- Supporting Business Development engagements with subject matter expertise as required.
- Strong command in Visual Design capabilities including color theory, typography, Iconography, Information graphics, storyboarding.
- Have strong people skills and be aware of timeline and goals.
- Communicate on a regular basis with key stakeholders.
- Use online tools like usertesting.com or others to get end user feedback.
- Conduct user focus groups to collect feedback.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATION:
- Education requirements include either BFA/MFA any equivalent.
SKILLS & TRAITS REQUIRED:
- 7+ years or more of relevant work experience as a Visual/Graphic designer in designing web application, mobile application and tablet applications.
- Formal education in interaction Design, User Experience Design or HCI related fields or equivalent.
- User Experience (UX) Practioner with Certified Usability Analyst title from Human Factors International or equivalent.
- Strong portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating great user-centered design solutions for web, mobile and enterprise applications domain.
- Expert in User-Centered Design Process, User Research Methodologies and User Feedback Gathering Techniques.
- Strong working knowledge of wire framing tools.
- Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills with an ability to rationalize and articulate design thinking.
- Be adept and experienced in Usability Testing Methodologies.
- Working experience on HTML5 & CSS.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript & jQuery.
- Knowledge of industry tools such as Sketch, InVision, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Zepplin and Omnigraffe.
- Experience with Figma for prototyping highly preferred.
- Software application development experience.
- Business know-how: Understanding of business metrics and the ability to translate company goals and objectives into digital experiences.
