     The Role

    One of our clients is looking for a Real Estate Development Analyst to help us expand our success into a new line of business within the multifamily housing industry. You will assist in the development process including the evaluation of potential development sites, market research, and maintenance of data sets that assist in our business intelligence. You will be reporting to a senior team member who has extensive experience as a Real Estate Analyst.

    What You’ll Do…

    • Underwrite the development of multifamily assets to determine their feasibility
    • Compile information for determining accurate pro forma operating budgets, including comparison analyses with existing assets in operation
    • Project rental rates and other income opportunities using analogous estimates as well as statistical modeling
    • Present project information and feasibility analyses for internal approval
    • Expand and maintain data sets that allow the team to have insight and knowledge of the markets it is active; visualize data in a dashboard application
    • Carry out the analytical processes developed (and will be developed) by the team used to determine the feasibility of a potential investment
    • Assist in purchase-sale agreements and letter of intent coordination
    • Contribute to coordination between construction, marketing, and operations
    • Preparation of development, investor and lender packages

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in either Business, Finance, Economics or Statistics
    • Basic knowledge of applied statistics
    • Proficiency in Excel, including building models and data analysis
    • Comfortable and proficient in working with data. Experience in SQL or other structured data environments is a big plus
    • Skill at visualizing and summarizing data for consumption to a diverse audience
    • Familiarity with principles of finance such as time value of money (NPV, IRR)
    • Ability to focus and create thoughtful, objective analysis
    • Entrepreneurial and the ability to take initiative
    • Ability to prioritize and iteratively deliver impactful work, as we work in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple projects at once
    • Excited about impacting lives by building beautiful communities
    • Aptitude to use critical thinking to solve complex problems and address them directly and timely
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to write and speak in effective prose.
