  • Responsibilities

    ABOUT THE POSITION

    In this role you will be responsible for all payroll, benefits, onboarding, temporary staff liaison and vendor management along with providing core HR support to leadership. The budgeted salary range for the position is 50K to 60K, and your responsibilities will include the following:

    • Prepare & process new hire paperwork, onboarding, I-9, handbook, and non-disclosure agreements, etc.
    • Adhere to clear policies and employee handbooks that explain company operations
    • Manage employee relations through visits, coaching and investigations in multiple sites
    • Run full cycle payroll for employees across salary and hourly payroll (ADP) on a bi-weekly basis
    • Process and monitor taxation of salaries, direct deposits, garnishment orders, retirement contributions, and other issues that impact payroll specifications and compliance
    • Maintain and document all payroll records, general ledgers, and conduct audits as necessary
    • Identify and resolve HR & payroll issues by collaborating with CFO and labor law experts
    • Responsible for administering and coordinating company-wide benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance plans, retirements plans, and other total reward programs
    • Provide new and existing employees with an explanation of benefits and eligibility; instruct them on enrollment and fulfillment procedures
    • Administer COBRA, LOA usage and other compliance issues as required by government regulations
    • Manage retirement plan, reporting and compliance
    • Process enrollments and resolve employee issues with insurance providers and vendors
    • Manage reporting functions including creating standard and custom reports and responding to ad hoc report requests in collaboration with leadership
    • Support the leadership team in the progression and moderation of operating policies, guidelines, employee performance reviews, and systems to encourage best practice within the company
    • Support departments across the organization regarding HR policies, procedures, and best practices
    • Manage and maintain accurate employee files, paperwork, and data
    • Process organizational changes timely including promotions, transfers, salary changes, etc.
    • Update and maintain all employee files and records including I-9 verification of employment, visas, sponsorships, performance documentation etc.
    • Respond to employee verification and state compliance requests
    • Process new hire employee and termination paperwork in a timely fashion with accuracy
    • Respond to employee inquiries regarding all Human resource issues, questions, and concerns
    • Monitor and identify improvement areas in HR, company culture, employee training and develop action plans as needed
    • Other related duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • 3+ years of experience as HR specialist with full-cycle payroll experience
    • Experience with HR data analysis, reporting, presentations, and development plans
    • Knowledge of payroll standards, wage laws and practices
    • Experience administering company-wide benefit programs
    • Familiarly with payroll and benefits software systems ADP Resource (preferred)
    • Self-motivated, collaborative and a strong focus on service, professionalism, and reliability
    • Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization
    • Ability to independently solve problems, utilize resources, and seek assistance
    • Excellent planning and organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
