Core Responsibilities

• Responsible for validation of product designs prior to production start
• Facilitate and build Design Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (DFMEA)
• Develop product Design Validation Plans & Reports (DVP&R)
• Develop, coordinate, and execute product Test Plans
• Develop robust test methods and acceptance criteria
• Catalogue and build a test standards library
• Inform our quality standards and plans
• Conduct and document competitive benchmark testing
• Develop and improve our Reliability processes, tools, and templates
• Manage vendor lab testing resources
• Quote, coordinate, and execute test plans with 3rd party labs
• Interpret and report out vendor and 3rd party lab testing results

Qualifications & Skills

• 8+ years of relevant experience in product testing (consumer products preferred)
• S. or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency in DFMEA, DVP&R, and Test Plan tools
• Working knowledge of relevant industry test standards (ISO, ASTM, CPSIA, UL)
• Proficient in reading and interpreting 2D and 3D product specifications
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills
