Responsibilities: The Chief Engineer will review ongoing service contracts for contractor performance and competitive pricing, monitoring an energy management program, maintain close and effective working relations with all departments, owner representatives and external contractors. The Chief Engineer will establish standards of performance and utilize performance management principles to fully maximize employee productivity, ensure all physical operations of the property and safety standards are being adhered to. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of all phases of hotel engineering - plumbing, electrical, HVAC, preventative maintenance, etc., and will be able to effectively delegate work and tasks to subordinates to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel. Must possess excellent time management and organizational skills.Previous Chief Engineer or supervisory experience in a hospitality setting is preferred.
