    Overview

    We’re hiring an Exterior Cleaning Technician to provide high-quality exterior cleaning services throughout Knoxville and nearby communities. This role is responsible for pressure washing, soft washing, exterior window cleaning, gutter and downspout cleaning, and maintaining professional jobsite standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, customer-friendly, and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

    Key Responsibilities

    Exterior Cleaning Services

    Perform pressure washing on surfaces such as concrete, driveways, sidewalks, patios, pool decks, brick, and other hardscape areas.

    Perform soft washing on siding, roofs (as applicable), fences, and other exterior surfaces using appropriate chemical mixes and low-pressure techniques.

    Clean gutters and downspouts, including debris removal, flushing downspouts, and confirming proper water flow and drainage.

    Identify and communicate any exterior issues discovered during service (e.g., heavy organic growth, oxidation, damaged gutters, loose downspouts, failing caulk, cracked concrete).

    Jobsite & Customer Experience

    Arrive on time, prepared, and maintain a professional appearance.

    Communicate clearly with customers before, during, and after the job (scope confirmation, expectations, and results).

    Protect customer property by using best practices (covering outlets, protecting landscaping, managing runoff, moving/returning light furniture, etc.).

    Take before/after photos as required and document completed work.

    Equipment & Vehicle Care

    Safely operate and maintain pressure washers, soft wash systems, hoses, surface cleaners, ladders, hand tools, and PPE.

    Perform routine checks (oil, filters, pumps, fittings, nozzles, hoses) and report equipment issues promptly.

    Keep work truck/trailer clean, organized, and stocked with supplies.

    Safety & Compliance

    Follow all safety procedures for chemical handling, ladder use, traffic awareness, PPE, and property protection.

    Mix and apply cleaning solutions responsibly and in accordance with company training and labeling guidelines.

    Work safely around electrical fixtures, windows, HVAC units, and delicate exterior finishes.

    Required Qualifications

    Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the shop/meeting point (company vehicle may be provided for routes).

    Ability to work outdoors and perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, kneeling, and extended standing/walking.

    Comfortable working on ladders and at heights (for gutter/downspout cleaning).

    Strong attention to detail and pride in producing excellent results.

    Professional communication and customer service skills.

    Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

    Experience with pressure washing, soft washing, or exterior maintenance.

    Knowledge of common exterior materials (vinyl, brick, stucco, concrete, wood) and safe cleaning methods.

    Basic mechanical aptitude (small engine/pump troubleshooting).

    Experience with route-based residential service or light commercial work.

    Physical Requirements

    Lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly (hoses, equipment, debris).

    Ability to climb ladders and work at heights safely.

    Ability to work in heat, humidity, and cold typical of East Tennessee seasonal conditions.

    Schedule

    Typical schedule: Monday–Friday (some weekends during peak season as needed)

    Hours may vary due to weather and seasonality.

    Compensation & Benefits

    Pay range: $16 to $18.50 per hour (based on experience)
