Exterior Design/Site Civil Intern
Are you currently seeking your bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design from an accredited school? Are you interested in learning how to apply what you've learned? LandWorx is a small firm in Indianapolis specializing in community-based urban infill, redevelopment, and recreation projects and we are a little different than most Engineering firms.
This is a for an internship position for a small firm which may include a variety of tasks such as Client meetings, organizing charettes, site design, visiting construction sites to take photos, or even going to a county office to record an easement. Our office is located in the Broad Ripple area of Indianapolis and our work schedule is flexible. Direct supervisor assignments will be based on projects where we feel we can provide the best experience and value to you and to LandWorx!

What would my day look like?
One day you may be doing some desktop research, making phone calls, and visiting prospective project sites to help determine constraints and opportunities for the Client. The next, you might be helping layout a building, parking, playgrounds, and utilities for a new site in AutoCAD. Later that week you may go with a Project Manager to a Client meeting to take notes and provide backup. You might even help on a Habitat for Humanity home site or help plan and organize a company family outing!
Your experience is only limited by what you would like to do and what is needed that day!
What is LandWorx looking for??
A rising Sophomore, Junior or Senior currently seeking bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design or a related degree from an accredited program.
Our biggest qualification is the ability to jump in and do whatever might be required. While we have structured processes, we also value flexibility and the desire to learn all aspects of what we do. This would be shown through an embodiment of our Tenets (see above)!
These things may help you as well…
Experience with Google Suites, Microsoft Office, Adobe (Creative Suite), AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AND a desire to make the places and projects you work on BETTER than when you started.

Pay: $20-$23 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week for approximately three months
