JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organized Part-Time Extra-Curricular Program Coordinator to lead our Before-School, After-School, and integrated Wednesday afternoon enrichment programs. This position plays a key role in creating a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for students beyond the traditional school day.
As a founding team member of a new and growing program, this is an entrepreneurial, multi-faceted role. The Coordinator will manage daily operations, oversee program logistics, supervise students, and collaborate with staff to design and implement dynamic learning experiences. This role also involves building a strong, positive culture that reflects and reinforces YELLOW’s mission and values.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Before Care (6:30AM-8:30AM)
Supervise and ensure the well-being of students during Before Care hours.
Take attendance and maintain accurate records of student participation.
Assist in organizing and implementing engaging programming and activities in collaboration with contracted organizations
Communicate with parents and guardians about program details and student performance.
Perform administrative duties, such as managing schedules, reporting issues, and maintaining supplies.
Monitor student behavior and provide guidance and support as needed.
Address behavioral issues in a positive and constructive manner.
After Care (3:00PM-6:00PM)
Oversee the after-school clubs, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for all students.
Assist in the creation and organization of diverse programming that meets the interests and developmental needs of the students.
The person hired for the position will need to keep accurate sign-in/out for staff members.
Monitor and evaluate the participation and engagement of students, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
Ensure all activities remain on schedule and that students adhere to program guidelines and safety protocols.
Communicate with parents and guardians about program details and student performance.
Carry out various administrative tasks, including coordinating communications with parents, managing schedules for clubs, and tracking program outcomes.
Monitor student behavior and provide guidance and support as needed.
Address behavioral issues in a positive and constructive manner.
Wednesday (12PM-3:30PM)
Oversee Wednesday Enrichments, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for all students.
Assist in the creation and organization of diverse programming that meets the interests and developmental needs of the students.
Keep accurate sign-in/out for staff members.
Monitor and evaluate the participation and engagement of students, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
Ensure all activities remain on schedule and that students adhere to program guidelines and safety protocols.
Communicate with parents and guardians about program details and student performance.
Carry out various administrative tasks, including coordinating communications with parents, managing enrichment schedules, and tracking program outcomes.
Monitor student behavior and provide guidance and support as needed.
Address behavioral issues in a positive and constructive manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associates or Bachelor’s degree (in Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred)
Previous experience in program management or child-care settings, preferably in school or educational environment
Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered learning.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents
Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
This position will require standing, walking, and supervising children in various indoor and outdoor settings.
Flexibility in working hours is essential, with morning hours typically from 6:30AM-8:30AM, afternoon hours from 3:00PM-6:00PM, and Wednesdays from 12:00PM-3:30PM.
