    Job Description

    E-commerce Developer job description We are looking for an experienced and passionate Web Developer to join our IT team! The focus would be using well known CMS such as WordPress, Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, etc. As a Web Developer at our company, you will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating themes and plugins. Our design team will design within premium template frame work so you would need to adjust their design into the template to reduces development time. There would be custom projects so ability to start from scratch would be also appreciated on particular projects. We are expecting you to have a strong understanding of latest industry trends and content management systems, themes, plugins, etc. The position is for anyone who can work remotely/on-site. EyeUniversal believes in employment freedom. We like you to be free and happy delivering quality work. You location is not an issue. However US based is a massive plus. Duties and Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain dynamic database-driven websites
    • Develop and maintain websites and web-based solutions utilizing custom WordPress plugins
    • Participate in the design and architecture of applications to meet business requirements
    • Effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines
    • Provide documentation as required and participate in code reviews, planning sessions and routine status stand-ups
    • Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
    • Checkin code via git
    • Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin. Desired coding/programming Skills and Experience 
    • Experience with Wordpress, WooCommerce, Magento (1 and 2), Bigcommerce, and Shopify and rest of plugins
    • Ability to create Wordpress, Magento, Shopify template from scratch or modify existing ones.
    • Ability to build Wordpres, Magento, Shopify s plugins or modify existing ones
    • 4+ years as a WordPress, Magento, Shopify developer in a paid work environment with a solid understanding of the framework, coding best practices, resources and community
    • Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, SASS, LESS, Javascript, jQuery
    • Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
    • Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
    • Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
    • Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
    • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools {{such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial}}
    • Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
    • Ability to install and manage MySQL
    • Proven experience developing high-availability database-driven applications
    • Proven expertise with responsive design standards
    • A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
    • Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development
