Early Birds and Night Owls: Looking for Personal Care Assistance
Type A Early Birds and Night-Owls - Want to really make a difference in someone's life? - Interested in earning some extra cash? - Need a part-time job with some flexible hours? - Ready to gain some new skills or experiences? Consider becoming a Personal (Care) Assistant Busy (but warm and friendly household) needs your help. We are not looking for senior care or a baby-sitter, but my husband and I are looking for 3-4 people to share the responsibility of caring for me (I'm 47, have cerebral palsy, two Master's degrees, a service dog) and maintaining our home (e. g. cooking, cleaning and running errands). Responsibilities include: - Providing assistance showering, dressing, and preparing for the next day - Accompanying on some outings (e.g. appointments, select travel, errands) - Assisting with exercises to maintain flexibility and range of motion - Light house-keeping and organizing. Hours: - 6 a.m-9:00 am-Monday-Friday - 7 a.m.-10 a.m-Saturday - 6:30 a.m.-8 a.m.-Sunday *Some hours may be adjusted and consideration of some evening hours based on our needs and qualified applicant availability - Job can easily fit into an already existing schedule; - Near public transportation - Work one-on-one in a busy but low-stress environment - Earn between $12-$15/hour - No previous experience or certifications necessary Interested applicants must: - Be able to lift approximately 90 lbs. - Be comfortable with dogs - Enjoy interacting with/learning from others - Be flexible, punctual, dependable and detail-oriented Please submit resume, cover letter and references.
