Consider becoming a Personal (Care) Assistant Busy (but warm and friendly household) needs your help. We are not looking for senior care or a baby-sitter, but my husband and I are looking for 3-4 people to share the responsibility of caring for me (I'm 47, have cerebral palsy, two Master's degrees, a service dog...) and maintaining our home (e. g. cooking, cleaning and running errands). Responsibilities include: - Providing assistance showering, dressing, and preparing for the next day - Accompanying on some outings (e.g. appointments, select travel, errands) - Assisting with exercises to maintain flexibility and range of motion - House-keeping, cooking, laundry, and organizing Hours: 6 a. m-8:00 am-M, W, Thurs, Friday 7 a.m.-9 am Saturday (and third Sunday of month) Some hours can and may be adjusted based on our needs and qualified applicant availability. (For example, my husband regularly travels. (Third weekend of the month.) and I also travel for work. So, we may need more help at times. - Job can easily fit into an already existing schedule; - Near public transportation - Work one-on-one in a busy but low-stress environment - Earn between $12-$15/hour - No previous experience or certifications necessary Interested applicants must: - Be able to lift approximately 90 lbs. - Be comfortable with dogs - Enjoy interacting with/learning from others - Be flexible, punctual, dependable and detail-oriented Please submit resume, cover letter and references.
