JOB SUMMARY
The Information Systems Analyst III (“IS Analyst III”) position is responsible for providing exceptional end-user support for core operating systems and user applications that reside on the F&M Bank’s internal network. The IS Analyst III reviews current F&M Bank department procedures and techniques to recommend new approaches to optimizing their performance. Responsibilities include meeting with users to gather and analyze their business requirements and designing, developing, testing, debugging, and implementing new reports to support F&M Bank’s needs. Assists users with resolving their system issues including working with the Bank’s core software vendor (Jack Henry & Associates) as needed. Regularly produces and reviews system control-related and security-related reports in support of the Bank’s regulatory compliance obligations. Periodically leads/participates in business systems and/or process improvement projects and initiatives. Works under immediate supervision and direction of the Systems Analyst Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Gathers and analyzes users’ business requirements and designs, develops, tests, debugs, and implements new reports to support F&M Bank’s needs.
· Properly documents and records in-house report changes and additions.
· Maintains working knowledge of existing in-house reports (purpose, files used, etc.).
· Maintains all of the Bank’s Jack Henry product parameters and documents with little or no interruption to the users.
· Submits change controls in complete format that includes the following key elements: Description, Scope, Risk, Back-out Procedures, test Verification Plan, Production Validation Plan, Implementation Date, and Approvals.
· Administrates the following third party software products: MeridianLink and LoansPQ/Xpress. This includes maintaining updates, adding or removing users, implementing rate changes, and providing report requests.
· Confers with the Systems Analyst Manager and users to clarify program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition and requirements for internal checks and controls.
· Oversees adherence to and ensures compliance with internal controls within the Sarbanes Oxley Act pertaining to system operations. Reviews Audit Security Reports for irregular activity.
· Assists computer operations staff in resolving program malfunctions as needed.
· Acts as liaison to the Jack Henry (JHA)/SilverLake support team by working with Bank Staff and JHA to resolve problems.
· Provides support for the Bank’s ATM systems.
· Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIRED
Education and Experience
· A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Computer Science or related discipline required.
· 5 or more years work experience with Microsoft Operating systems, Office, Excel, Access Reporting required; 5 or more years of SQL experience preferred.
· 5 or more years Information Systems / Business Analyst experience required.
· 5 or more years’ experience working in a banking environment supporting a core banking platform preferred.
· Experience with JHA SilverLake file system preferred.
· Ability to create complex reports using Microsoft Excel pivot tables and macros.
· Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
· 2 or more years’ experience leading business systems projects preferred.
· 2 or more years’ experience leading meetings preferred.
· Experience working with ATMs preferred.
Skills
· Detail-oriented and able to organize projects, prioritize workflows, and complete multiple tasks simultaneously and accurately.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate in a professional manner with Bank personnel.
· Ability to read and understand complex banking and technological documentation.
· Exercise good judgment, initiative, and tact in dealing with management, supervisors, and employees.
· Present a professional, business-like manner and appearance.
· Maintain confidentiality.
Physical
· Continuous sitting and occasional standing/walking and reaching overhead/extension.
· Frequent handling of paperwork, use of telephone and computer equipment.
