    Job Description

    POSITION OVERVIEW THE CONTROLLER WILL PREPARE AND/OR MAINTAIN MONTHLY FINANCIAL AND CONSOLIDATED STATEMENTS, SUPPORTING SCHEDULES, BALANCE SHEETS, GENERAL LEDGERS AND OTHER FINANCIAL RECORDS INVOLVING CASH, PAYROLL, ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLES, ACCOUNTS PAYABLES, COST ACCOUNTING AND INVENTORIES WHICH INCLUDE RAW MATERIALS, FINISHED GOODS, AND WORK IN PROCESS.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Prepare and/or maintain monthly financial and consolidated statements, supporting schedules, balance sheets, general ledgers and other financial records involving cash, payroll, accounts receivables, accounts payables, and inventories which include raw materials, finished goods, and work in process
    • Reviews financial statements, responsible for all standard costing and inventory valuation and serves as financial adviser for all operational departments.
    • Responsible for cost accounting including cost analysis of manufacturing and operations.
    • Manage and report on daily cash position.
    • Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts.
    • Manage directly or through subordinates, the company's financial accounts, payrolls, budget, cash receipts and financial assets
    • Actively participate in both system and process improvements by monitoring assigned areas for process improvements to ensure efficiency
    • Handle the company's transactions and debts and do cash flow forecasting
    • Perform the company's financial audits
    • Manage Accounting personnel as appropriate
    • Review and administration of purchase orders working closely with our procurement department as applicable on contract purchases
    • Oversee the month-end close process, including generating and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses.
    • Assist with preparation for annual audits and quarterly reviews, including interaction with external and internal auditors and tax consultants.
    • Create and update policies and process documents as needed.
    • Work closely with department heads to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial information, and to ensure they have the resources they need for informed decision making.
    • Manage Accounting personnel as appropriate
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations with accounting personnel

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum 2 years’ work experience as Controller or Finance Manager in a manufacturing environment
    • Bachelor;s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or related field or combined equivalent of education and experience
    • ERP implementation experience
    • CPA a plus
    • Sound knowledge of GAAP, accounting principles, standards and regulations
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    • Experience in working with accounting software and databases
    • Superior data management and data analysis skills
    • Strong time management and organizational skills
    • Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
