- Title: Network Engineer-CCNP Level
- Onsite Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. Remote Monday & Friday
- Skill Set:
- Code upgrades
- Circuit upgrades and delivery
- Router/Switch
- Layer 2 and 3 troubleshooting
- Network protocols ie OSPF etc...
- Configuration management
- Mostly Cisco and Juniper switching
- Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and support internal and external networks and associated equipment
- Design, develop and maintain all networking systems, associated applications, security, and network configurations
- Troubleshoots network performance issues and creates and maintains a disaster recovery plan
- Recommend and implements upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment
- Configure and maintain a wide variety of network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
- Evaluate and recommend new products, maintain knowledge of emerging technologies to the enterprise
- Monitor network performance, ensures capacity planning is performed, and is proactive in assessing and making recommendations for improvements
- Support all enterprise network activities
- Maintain and update wireless LAN equipment
- Maintain and update the LAN equipment
- Monitor network performance and work with carriers during outages as required
- Ensure adherence to network security architectures and policies
- Update equipment documentation as needed
- Maintain all Switches/Routers and Firewalls
- Maintain and support VoIP telephone systems
- Ensure the security and integrity of data, data systems, and data networks across the businesses
- Proactively review and implement network designs per Internal network architectural practices
- Proactively monitor the backbone equipment health regarding high utilization, errors logs, recurring incidents, etc.
- Analyze automated tools to make sure they provide reliable information about network KPI's
- Maintain routing plans and protocols
- Maintain network Quality of Service
- Interface with the monitoring teams
