    We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Inpatient Care Unit in Lancaster, OH. Reporting to the Inpatient Care Manager, this role provides direct patient care and treatment to a variety of patients within the hospice facility in accordance with established policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a current license to practice as an RN in the State of Ohio, strong medical knowledge, and excellent interpersonal skills. Responsibilities: • For all inpatient care (IPU) patients, initiate and apply appropriate preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative nursing procedures and techniques. • Assess and evaluate the IPU patient's status by reviewing and implementing the plan of care, regularly re-evaluating inpatient care patients' needs, and revising the plan of care as necessary. • Administer medications and treatments for IPU patients as prescribed by the physician and/or FAIRHOPE Medical Directors. • Responsible for counting all controlled substances at beginning/end of IPU shift and logging appropriate documentation of medication reconciliations. • Teach the patient/caregiver/family self-care techniques as appropriate. • Assist patient/caregiver/family in working with other healthcare personnel in providing continuity of care. • Document electronically any direct services provided and ongoing communication with patients/families/community providers. • Remain HIPAA compliant at all times. Qualifications: • The ability to analyze and implement proper action is essential. • Computer skills are required. • Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing and must have a current RN license from the Ohio Board of Nursing. • Experience working with end-of-life care and/or healthcare setting preferred. Compensation: $32.68 - $39.87
