Job Description
The Lobby Ambassador’s primary responsibility is to greet and assist guests arriving and departing the Hotel. A Lobby Ambassador is an ambassador of The Plaza Hotel by having a presence in the Lobby, assisting with answering general questions and providing directions. The Lobby Ambassador works closely with the Concierge, Bell Desk and Front Office team to ensure that guests are greeted in a professional and courteous manner and receive outstanding customer service.
Compensation : $34 per hour
** Responsibilities**
- Welcomes and assists guests’ according to Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Brand Standards.
- Is an ambassador of The Plaza Hotel by providing exceptional customer service and making an excellent first impression.
- Ensures each guest receives a warm, personal greeting when entering and exiting the Hotel.
- Maintains a presence in the Hotel lobby throughout the hours of the shift.
- Greets all guests courteously, using the guest’s name whenever possible.
- Remains observant and responds to each guest who passes through entrances.
- Follows Hotel’s telephone etiquette standards.
- Follows Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
- Reports suspicious people, behavior, and vehicles to Security
- Ensures adherence to Fairmont’s Code of Ethics
- Must be available to address any possible security concerns from a higher level of traffic in the lobby due to transient guests entering and/or leaving the lounge area
