    Job Description

    Manager, Talent & Culture / Compliance

    You are a highly motivated team player with strong skillsets in colleague management, performance management, talent assessment, communication, labor relations, and fluent knowledge of California state labor laws and applicable codes. Reporting to the General Manager, as the Manager, Talent & Culture / Compliance you will oversee and manage all aspects of the Talent & Culture function and Home Owners Association legal compliance. You will provide strategic leadership and management for the property by developing a culture that supports the property's strategic goals and complies with Corporate Policy and Local/National Regulations. Our Full-Service Residential property has an annual budget of $7.3M and 48 employees.

    What you will be doing:

    • Responsible for the day-to-day Talent & Culture functions, overall property Talent & Culture strategy, and maintaining positive colleague relations.
    • Management and implementation of Talent & Culture functions including but not limited to: employee relations, payroll compensation and benefits, recognition and development, recruiting and on-boarding, administration, and colleague wellness.
    • Oversee biweekly payroll processing and benefits administration.
    • Formulate and implement policies, procedures, and standards in accordance with national/local industry standards, laws, and customs.
    • Ensure compliance with national/local laws, adherence to Davis Stirling Civil Code, Homeowners Governing Documents, Global Data Protection Standards, PCI Compliance, Company Policies and Procedures, etc.
    • Complete annual property audits and Annual Corporate compliance audits as required by ACCOR.
    • Support completion of the SAQ Audit and collaborate with the Executive Team on completion of action plans to improve property controls and compliance.
    • Participate in labor relation negotiations, grievance processes and contract disputes.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Your experience and skills include:

    • Bachelor's or Masters degree in Business, relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with human resources processes including but not limited to: human resources IT systems, local / state regulations, labor relations, benefits administration, recruiting, and leading and developing people.
    • Ability to focus attention on colleague needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
    • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
    • Highly responsible and reliable with exceptional attention to detail
    • Fluent in Microsoft Window applications and relevant computer applications

    Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

    • Frequent standing and walking through shift
    • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
    • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
    • Frequent sitting throughout shift

    Visa Requirements:

    • You must provide proof that you are legally entitled to work in the United States. Employment is conditional upon your ability to provide acceptable documentation establishing that you are legally entitled to work in the United States within three days of your date of hire.

    Pay range $ 96,000 - $ 144,000
