Job Description

FASTSIGNS of East Brunswick is looking for a highly motivated, extremely detail oriented candidate with a creative eye who is focused on teamwork, task completion, and customer satisfaction. FastSigns in a national franchise leader in designing, producing, and installing signs and other visual communications.

We are looking for a candidate who possesses the maturity, passion, and energy to collaborate with others on the team while working toward bringing our customers' vision to completion—from simple vehicle lettering—to fully branded business decor. Additionally you will get to execute your vision by producing the signs you design.

In this role, your primary responsibility will be to create computer-generated full-color graphics and output vinyl that can be cut, or printed ,and mounted to various products from cars to substrates to buildings. Your job will involve various levels of artistic creativity and you may interact with customers to ensure complete satisfaction with the final product.

Under general direction, you will be trained to assist on all aspects of the physical production of signs including assisting with installation on and off site.

Responsibilities include:

Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop to create large format sign designs

Operate PC to send art files to large format printer, plotter, or outside vendor

Operate large format printer, plotter, laminator, industrial sewing machine, wall cutter/panel saw

Preparing substrates for vinyl application

Weeding, transfer-taping, and accurately trimming vinyl

Mounting prints to substrates

Lifting and cutting large 8-10ft substrates (including acrylic, wood, PVC, coroplast, foamcore, aluminum composites and polystyrene)

Proofreading signs and conduct quality assurance on all finished goods

Regular maintenance and cleaning of equipment, and production area

Graphic design experience is required

Previous sign making experience is preferred

Drivers License to make pickups and deliveries a plus

Job Requirement Physical Demands:

Stand for long periods of time

Lift large rolls of vinyl (50-75 or more pounds)

Work under pressure to output high volume, high quality work

Comfortable on ladders, lifting large signs and working at heights

Familiarity with power tools a plus
