    Job Description: Finance Manager / Bookkeeper

    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    Under the guidance of the Franchise Partner and General Manager, the Finance Manager performs a wide range of duties related to managing the day-to-day general accounting functions and ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.

    The ideal candidate must possess a spirit of excellence, a sense of urgency, be a team player, is growth-oriented, organized, and comfortable working to meet deadlines with minimal supervision. The Bookkeeper will manage accounts payable, reconciliation, month-end closing, and accounts receivable. Likewise, the Bookkeeper is responsible for a full cycle A/P, data entry, cash applications, coding, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Maintain the Chart of Accounts and General ledger accounting functions.

    Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.

    Prepare general journal entries and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.

    Prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at monthly intervals and daily cash management.

    Prepare bi-monthly payroll.

    Reconcile and approve W-2s and 1095’s for processing and prepare and distribute 1099s.

    Monthly and annual preparation of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliation, and G/L analysis.

    Accounts payable, billing, and collections.

    Reconcile monthly bank statements and monitor outstanding checks.

    Reconcile contributions on a monthly basis.

    Maintain fixed assets schedule and inventory.

    Prepare schedules and all documentation for the external accountants.

    Produce the annual budget and forecasts.

    Produce expense reports and prepare financials for reporting.

    Provide information for the annual worker’s compensation audit.

    Monthly, Quarterly, and Year-End processes.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; ability to manage priorities and workflow.

    Attention to detail and excellent organizational and writing skills.

    Previous accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred.

    3-5 years of progressive accounting and financial analysis experience.

    Ability and willingness to meet business-critical deadlines.

    Command of Accounting Entries.

    Solid understanding of accounting principles, standards, and procedures.

    Deep understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

    Excellent technology and analytics required.

    Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion, especially with regard to sensitive or confidential financial or organizational matters and respond flexibly and positively in all circumstances, and work calmly under pressure.

    Proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement.

    LEVEL OF AUTHORITY

    Reports directly to General Manager.
