    Locally Owned FASTSIGNS of Eugene is the 23rd largest Franchisee out of 800 around the world. We continue to grow and are opening a new office in Bend, Oregon. We are seeking an accounting and payroll expert to help us continue to grow by implementing and executing accounting and payroll best practices. We are a team-oriented group that thrives on making all types of incredible and creative signs for our customers. We like to hav fun and we all love our dogs!

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting and Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting and payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies and regulations. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online for accounting functions and ADP for payroll processing is essential for this role.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.

    Process bi-weekly payroll for employees using ADP, ensuring accuracy in timesheets, wage computation, and the distribution of employee paychecks or direct deposits.

    Maintain accurate financial records and statements in QuickBooks Online, ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.

    Administer employee benefits, deductions, and garnishments, and ensure that all payroll-related transactions are processed timely and accurately.

    Conduct payroll processing with employee records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay rates or job classifications.

    Prepare and submit Prevailing Wage documentation for BOLI jobs

    Generate financial reports and statements for management's review, providing insights into the company's financial health

    Assist with the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.

    Ensure compliance with GAAP principles and company financial policies.

    Liaise with external auditors during financial and payroll audits.

    Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.

    Continuously improve payment processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

    Proven experience as an Accounting and Payroll Specialist or similar role.

    Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and ADP (or similar) payroll systems.

    Excellent understanding of accounting and payroll principles, laws, and regulations.

    High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

    Strong organizational and time management skills.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

    Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

    Proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
