FASTSIGNS Oakley is hiring a Production & Production Design Specialist! In this role you will bring our customer’s projects to life as you produce graphics, prints, and finished signs using the latest digital printing equipment and top-of-the-line materials. Previous sign production and/or graphic design experience is welcome, but not required. We will train the right candidate.

What you’ll be doing:

Perform Pre-Production Preparation: Prepare artwork files for production, ensuring proper file formats, color modes, and resolution while adhering to production guidelines and specifications.

Producing signs by preparing substrates and applying vinyl or other media, mounting and/or laminating prints, and operating the laminator for over-laminating, encapsulation, or mounting of digital imaged products.

Position requirements include cutting printed graphics using a variety of wall cutters, saws, and Exacto blades, as well as applying the product to substrates.

No prior Graphics Design work experience required, but basic computer skills are necessary.

The Production Specialist may be required to work in the field to make installations on vehicles and building interiors and exteriors using up to a 10 ft. ladder.

Careful attention to detail utilizing work orders that outline specifics for each custom order is paramount.

Operating, maintaining printers, plotters, laminators, and other small tools and or machinery. Keep work areas clean and organized.

Communicating with other employees on job requirements, labor estimates, site surveys, inventory, and any special needs.

Answering the phone if the manager, and sales/service employees are busy assisting other customers; and assisting at the front counter as needed.

You’ll need to have:

A high school diploma, college work in design preferred.

Good driving record.

The ability to stand/kneel/use 10 ft. ladder.

The ability to use hand tools, saws, exacto knives and production equipment.

The ability to lift 50 or more pounds.

The ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work.

General familiarity with safe operation of power equipment and general construction tools/methods.

Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop experience a plus
