Graphic Designer and Digital Production
This person will be a lead graphic designer and content creator for the Curry Printing HHI, Inc. and FASTSIGNS of Hilton Head Island/Bluffton. Curry Printing HHI, Inc. has been serving Hilton Head Island and the Lowcountry since 1978. We are a dynamic creative agency that creates and produces high quality branding, marketing, printing, mailing, and signs for our clients. We also create and install full vehicle wraps and graphics.The designer will be responsible for the following, but not limited to additional tasks that may be assigned throughout the year.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Experience working with Local and National Brands
Demonstrates an understanding of visual hierarchy.
Meets with clients to evaluate design and print needs
Presents concepts and design ideas to clients.
Designs and prints marketing materials, forms, and mailers.
Works with data list for mailings.
Completes tasks independently in a fast paced environment.
Follows and understands quality and style guidelines.
Effectively manages production schedule and production materials.
Maintains high attention to detail when proofing all production work.
Work both independently and as a member of a team, from concept to completion.
Willingness to perform all duties in the shop
Answer phones and help walk in clients.
Follow up with job orders as needed.
Skills
Thorough knowledge of design practices, tools, and standards.
Proven graphic designing experience
A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
A keen eye for aesthetics and attention to details
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Work efficiently under pressure in order to meet deadlines
Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1-3 years of related experience
Experience with variable data and mail list processing software a plus
Experience with Fiery, ONYX, or iQue Rip workflows a plus
Master of the Adobe Suite - including InDesign/Photoshop/Illustrator/Acrobat
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Must be focused, extremely detail-oriented and highly organized
Ability to juggle multiple tasks and complete projects on-time is critical
Ability to quickly assimilate new information and learn new skills is critical
Must be able to work independently without supervision
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
