    JOB DESCRIPTION: Training Manager, FASTSIGNS International Inc.

    Summary/Objective The Training Manager is responsible for developing and delivering training to our franchisees, FASTSIGNS centers, and FASTSIGNS International internal staff. This role works with Subject Matter Experts for researching and developing courses. The Training Manager also monitors existing course materials and updates as necessary based on technology and other changes.

    Essential Functions

    Facilitate Training classes as assigned; including but not limited to sign design, production, management, Point of Sale, sales, and other topics. Guide participants through completion of all training activities.

    Work with Subject Matter Experts to develop course content and structure.

    Participate in department planning meetings and contribute to the department’s goals to ensure that the Training department is meeting the organization’s mission statement, value statement and annual strategic plan.

    Keep up-to-date on the latest technology or other changes to maintain and update Training Tools for the FASTSIGNS network.

    Plan and participate in the Annual FASTSIGNS International Convention, Outside Sales Summit and other events as necessary.

    Contribute to articles for the internal FASTSIGNS publication the “Cutting Edge” as necessary and/or requested.

    Submit articles to the weekly internal FASTSIGNS US and UK newsletter “ FASTBrief” as necessary and/or requested.

    Create and facilitate live and recorded webinars. Create recorded video training assets. Assist other facilitators as necessary.

    Create e-learning instruction to contribute to the University of FASTSIGNS on-line, as well as the Gamification Training Platform app.

    Research additional third-party training resources that may benefit the FASTSIGNS network.

    Monitor the Online Learning Management System as required.

    Work with vendor team and suppliers to ensure that franchisees receive training to sell the products to their fullest ability.

    Continuously build positive relationships with team members, other FASTSIGNS International departments, and center owners/employees through professional and proactive communication and partnering techniques.

    Schedule and execute field training sessions as appropriate including time frame, target audience, topics and locations.

    Field calls from center personnel and franchisees relative to Training.

    Contribute to the department’s goals to ensure support for meeting the organization’s mission, key strategic objectives and annual business plan.

    Maintain inventory of materials for training classes.

    Field travel may be required to support centers and/or franchisees.

    Work with field support to ensure that business consultants are able to promote and support new training programs.

    Adhere to training budget and manage all resources accordingly.

    Teach best practices as deemed by FASTSIGNS International, Inc.

    Assist with special projects as assigned by Director of Training, Vice President of Franchise Support and/or Executive Vice President of Franchise Support and Development.

    Work Environment

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, shredding and fax machines.

    Classrooms may use solvent printers, solvent inks, laminators, power tools, and similar sign production machinery.

    Physical Demands

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use ladders, use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, and reach with hands and arms. The employee may also be required to load printers, laminators, etc., and may be required to lift up to 60 lbs.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days Monday through Friday, working between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. typically. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

    Travel

    Occasional out of state travel is required as events and circumstances demand. Typically not more than 1 week per quarter.

    Required Education and Experience

    Strong skills in the Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat), as well as Google Suite (Google Mail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Forms, Google Calendar) required.

    Beneficial software knowledge includes: ONYX RIP Software, CoreBridge Point of Sale, Camtasia Capture, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Captivate, Microsoft Office

    Additional Eligibility Qualifications

    Previous FASTSIGNS center or other sign/printing experience is very beneficial.

    Security Clearance (for travel)

    Valid driver’s license is required for travel.
