    The New Center Business Consultant position is responsible for working with our new franchisees prior and post-opening and advising on our brand standards and best practices to grow the business. This position demonstrates and explains to the new franchisee how to understand financial statements, produce finished products, ramp sales, use the training resources available, and how to use the center management software.

    Establish relationships with new franchisees when the franchise agreement is executed; establishing the framework for ongoing support.

    Contact franchisees weekly or bi-weekly to help provide pre/post-training guidance on pre-training activities such as Operations Business Plan, Learning Management System, locating a bookkeeper, etc. Work with the office team to establish mentor and In-Center training assignments and follow through.

    Guide franchisees to create business plans, meet throughout Foundations (when appropriate) to update the business plan, update cash flow/operating budget, etc.

    Conduct post-training communication to ensure the opening checklist is complete.

    Ensure adherence to company brand standards and guidelines.

    Field calls from center sales personnel and franchisees relative to center operations.

    Advise franchisees on resources available to them for recruiting, leading, and managing staff.

    Establish weekly franchisee accountability calls focusing on sales planning, training, and coaching the franchisee on building sales. Work with the sales development team as appropriate.

    Collect and analyze monthly financial statements from new centers.

    Focus on reducing the time to exceed breakeven by focusing on budgets, expenses, and cash flow to maximize profits; review the “Sales, Profit and Cash Flow Analysis”.

    Identify centers that are struggling within 120 days of opening. Develop a plan to change the course in conjunction with Marketing and Sales Development.

    Create written documentation of all center visits, calls, and checklists completed as pertaining to New Centers.

    Field travel required to support New Centers, Conversion, and Co-Brand center opening activities (up to 75%).

    Conduct pre-opening visits prior to center opening. The visit is sales-focused in nature, spent prospecting, calling on clients, and conducting sales-building activities.

    Conduct initial center opening, focusing on operations/sales start-up visits. Ensure franchisee is following the sales plan.

    Conduct center follow-up visits within 60-90 days of opening, focusing on building sales, refining franchisee and sales staff’s sales skills. Hold franchisee accountable to sales plan and the activities necessary to drive center sales.

    Provide support for FASTSIGNS product lines such as digital signs, promotional products, small format printing, mobile marketing, etc.

    Provide exceptional customer service to members of the FASTSIGNS network.

    Adhere to the new center budget and manage all resources accordingly.

    Participate in the annual Convention, Outside Sales Summit, and other events as necessary.

    Submit articles to the FASTBrief newsletter and/or Cutting Edge as assigned.

    Edit and maintain manuals as requested.

    Teach best practices as deemed by FASTSIGNS International, Inc.

    Work with the training team and suppliers to ensure that franchisees receive training to sell the products to their fullest ability.

    Contribute to the department’s goals to ensure support for meeting the organization’s mission, key strategic objectives, and annual business plan.

    Teach training classes as assigned; including but not limited to Business Planning, Sales, and other topics.

    Participate in department planning meetings and contribute to the department’s goals to ensure that the Training department is meeting the organization’s mission statement, value statement, and annual strategic plan.

    Continuously build positive relationships with team members, other FASTSIGNS International departments, and franchisees/employees through professional and proactive communication and partnering techniques.

    Conduct proactive sales training and coaching for all New Centers.

    Implement strategic sales and marketing programs to help franchisees develop, refine, and improve their sales skills. Develop strategies and train franchisees on in-center marketing strategies.

    Develop professional skills through the company and industry-related resources.

    Interact positively with, and prioritize franchisee needs.

    Coordinate travel within company guidelines.

    Assist with special projects as assigned.

    Work Environment

    This job operates in two types of environments. A professional office and/or home office environment in which this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, shredding, and fax machines. The second environment is a light manufacturing environment which includes printers, vinyl cutters, and laminators.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full‐time position, and hours of work and days Monday through Friday, working between hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

    Travel

    This position requires up to 75% travel within the United States and Canada. Other international travel may be required.

    Required Education and Experience

    Strong skills in using Google Workspace / GSuite

    Previous experience in a franchise support/coordinator capacity preferred

    Excellent organizational skills

    Ability to manage multiple projects

    Ability to meet deadlines and quality expectations

    Sign, print, or visual communications background preferred

    Training or management experience a plus

    Knowledgeable in social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.) preferred

    Additional Eligibility Qualifications

    A valid driver’s license.

    Security Clearance (for travel)

    The Business Consultant is required to maintain a valid driver’s license and a legal US passport for potential international travel.
