Job Description

We are seeking an editorial intern to help maintain the company’s lifestyle blog, Glam & Gowns. We are looking for someone to help develop strategies to increase the readership on the blog by outlining a content calendar and conceptualizing tactics to increase audience participation. Researching, writing, and editing articles within the context of fashion, beauty, wellness, and pop culture must be key strengths for candidates. This is great experience for fashion, journalism, and/or communication majors who want to gain hands on experience. 1.) Content Planning: Create monthly content calendars around the current company  marketing campaign by using long tail keywords and trending topics. 2.) Researching & Writing: Contribute 3-5 blog posts per week. 3.) Editing: Manage contributing writers, curate submitted content, fact check and edit articles before upload. 4.) Creative: Either find (and site) or take photos to accompany posts. 5.) Uploading & Promoting: Upload finished articles to Wordpress, tag & optimize articles  for best performance and communicate with Content Marketing Manager for micro ads and publish dates.

Qualifications

 ·Articulate and good with writing, copy and words. ·Working knowledge of Wordpress. ·Obsessed with Pop Culture, Fashion, and Media.·Ability to project manage, work independently and meet deadlines.
