    The Challenge:

    The Safety Technician is not a policeman or inspector, although the performance of his or her job may involve inspection and support with resolving non-compliance. He or she is accountable for managing safe work utilizing and involving all resources of FC Traffic Control.

    What You'll Do:

    1. Assist in Pre-job planning beginning with Area Manager, Supervisors, and Leads. Job planning with the Supervisor will continue as the job progresses.
    2. Monitor orientation, training, pre-job planning, pre-task planning, near-miss accident reporting and investigating, and jobsite self-inspections.
    3. Teach specific classes within their experience and qualifications.
    4. Support the investigation process for incidents and near-miss event, in addition to the supervisors initial investigation
    5. Stop work, which to his or her knowledge is eminently dangerous.
    6. Troubleshoots issues that arise.
    7. Ensures that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
    8. Ensures paperwork is completed and signed correctly.
    9. Assist in escorting personnel to receive appropriate first aid evaluation and care or testing as needed.
    10. Review Task Hazard Analysis
    11. Ensure Company trainings are up to date and reported to HR for record keeping.
    12. Performs other related duties as assigned.
    13. Travel out of town to job sites, sometimes requiring overnight stays.

    What You'll Need:

    1. Excellent supervisory and leadership skills.
    2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    3. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    4. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    5. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
    6. Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (i.e., OneDrive, Lists, Teams, SharePoint) or related software.

    Experience and Skills Required:

    1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
    2. OSHA 10 and 30
    3. Flagger certified within 30 days of hire.
    4. Prior exceptional work experience with the company preferred.

    Physical Requirements:

    1. Must be able to lift 25 to 55 pounds at a time.
    2. Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean MVR.
    3. Must be able to work long hours, nights, weekend, Holidays, and emergencies.
    4. Minimum of 3-years’ experience in Traffic Control.
    5. Must be able to pass a background and pre-employment drug screen
