Role Overview: We're seeking an experienced FDM 3D Printing Slicing Software Engineer to join our growing team. You will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing slicing software, creating innovative infill patterns, toolpath algorithms, and process enhancements to elevate our additive manufacturing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize slicing algorithms for FDM 3D printing.
Design and implement custom infill patterns and supports.
Optimize toolpaths for speed, strength, and material efficiency.
Integrate slicing software with Koobz's automated manufacturing workflows.
Collaborate closely with product designers, mechanical engineers, and production teams to refine manufacturing processes.
Continuously analyze printing data to identify improvements in slicing and toolpath generation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
Strong expertise in developing slicing software or extensive experience with open-source slicers like Cura, PrusaSlicer, or Simplify3D.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, Grasshopper workflows, and familiarity with CAD software.
Deep understanding of FDM printing processes, material behaviors, and mechanical properties.
Demonstrated ability to create custom slicing solutions, infill designs, and toolpath optimizations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
Experience with automated manufacturing systems and robotics integration.
Familiarity with AI-driven optimization techniques.
Previous work in footwear or wearable technology industries.
