Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a FGP Pharmacy Technician - Cancer Center - Lake Success.
In this role, the successful candidate, under the immediate direction of a registered pharmacist, will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations, licensing requirements and professional standards pertaining to storage and inventory control, dispensing and distribution of medication as permitted by the New York State Board of Pharmacy for unlicensed personnel. Operates pharmacy technology and medical systems in filling medication orders. Delivers patient specific medications. Stocks, assembles, and distributes necessary medications. Processes controlled substance requisitions for pharmacist review. Orders and receives shipments.
Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School Diploma and 2 years prior experience as a Pharm Tech or have successfully completed the NYU Pharmacy Technician training program. Must have knowledge and understanding of medical and pharmaceutical terminology as well as knowledge of procedures and standards for the labeling and dispensing of drugs. Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures. Excellent organization and communication skills and, strong attention to detail required. Strong background in the use of computers and basic Microsoft programs. Pharmacy Technician certification and registration as prescribed by the New York State Education Department..
Required Licenses: Cert Pharmacy Technician
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates Degree.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $75,183.00 - $76,021.08 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
