FIC America Corporation is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to maintain existing environmental health and safety programs and participate in the design and implementation of new programs to comply with company standards and federal, state, and local requirements.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Assist Manager in the design and implementation of safety and environmental health programs to prevent, correct, and/or control unsafe and noncompliant conditions.
    • Review and evaluate new and existing operations to identify and resolve any safety and environmental issues in manufacturing processes.
    • Eliminate or control hazardous conditions resulting from human error, equipment and machine operations that may lead to human injury and/or property damage.
    • Train employees on Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, such as, but not limited to, forklifts, lockout-tagout, personal protective equipment, and blood-borne pathogens.
    • Conduct safety audits and advise management on safety issues observed.
    • Complete related documentation and reports.
    • Oversee administration and distribution of selected protective equipment or safety devices for machines.
    • Investigate accidents to determine causes and how to prevent such accidents in the future.
    • Plan and test emergency systems and procedures to ensure proper preparation.
    • Follow standard work instructions.

    Minimum Job Requirements

    • 1+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Minimum of 1+ years of experience with OSHA regulations
    • Spanish Bilingual strongly preferred
    • OSHA 30-Hour Certification preferred
