    Reno, NV (regional projects) | Full-Time, Hourly (Non-Exempt) | Suggested: Tech I $22–$26 · Tech II $26–$30 · Tech III $30–$35/hour + OT at time-and-a-half | Company vehicle + gas card + laptop

    The Opportunity

Our client, an established consulting engineering firm, is hiring Field Technicians I, II, and III for CMT and inspection work across commercial, civil, infrastructure, and land development projects throughout the region. Your level — and your pay — is set by your certs and capabilities, and the ladder up is clearly marked.

    The Level Ladder

    • Tech I: ACI or NAQTC preferred — your entry into the profession
    • Tech II: ACI or NAQTC required — certified and building
    • Tech III: BOTH ACI & NAQTC required — the top tier

    What You'll Do

    • Perform field testing and inspection of soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates
    • Document observations and test results accurately; prepare daily reports
    • Ensure testing complies with project specs and industry standards
    • Coordinate with contractors and field personnel on active sites
    • Maintain testing equipment and calibration compliance
    • Support QA/QC initiatives

    What You'll Bring

    • CMT or inspection experience preferred (Tech I welcomes entry-level with the right attitude)
    • Knowledge of soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregate testing procedures
    • Strong communication and documentation skills; Microsoft Office proficiency
    • Ability to work outdoors in all conditions and manage priorities independently
    • Valid driver's license preferred
