REMOTE POSITION

Filtrex is a mechanical company performing HVAC/R Preventative Maintenance on a variety of equipment nationwide. We are seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized Programmer to join our growing team. In this position, you will assist our IT team in maintaining our in-house software and ensuring all applications and programs are up-to-date.

The Programmer will assist our IT Department with the following items:

·  Maintain in-house software (Cordova, React Native) and Web (with and without Angular, React)

·  Designing webpage and app layouts

·  Write and test computer application and software codes

·  Collaborate with software developers to code program designs

·  Implement new and test existing applications and programs

·  Debug and correct faulty lines of code

Job Requirements:

·  Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field

·  Basic app design experience (1 - 2 Years)

·  Has an understanding knowledge of API design, distributed back-end systems, and containers

·  Content management

·  Familiarity with multiple computer languages (HTML, CSS, Python, R, Scala, JavaScript, C++, etc.)

·  Optimization tuning and troubleshooting skills

·  Proficient in Object-Relational Database Management Systems, such as Postgres

·  Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent analytical and organizational skills

·  Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge

Nice-to-haves:

·  Development experience or experience with SDLC (Software Development Life-cycle).

·  MySQL & PostgreSQL.

·  Cpanel.

·  LAMP Stack (Linux / Apache / PHP / MySQL).

·  Cordova

Where & when you’ll work:

·  Until further notice, our software team has moved fully remote. You may be required to go into our office for some training or occasional meetings.

·  Our software team works 4 days per week, 10 hours per day.

Compensation & benefits:

·  Salary of $45,000.00-$65,000.00, based on experience.

·  2 weeks paid vacation after 6 months.

·  5 days of PTO after 60 days.

We do not make repairs outside of the maintenance plan, which means we have no incentive in finding unneeded repairs. We partner with your team with the goal of reducing repair and maintenance costs, providing you with complete and thorough photo documentation of each service performed and alert you of needed repairs.
