Job Requirements:
- Minimum three years of relevant finance and operations experience
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or relevant work experience, accounting degree with CPA and/or experience preferred.
- Government Guaranteed Lending or SBA work experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge and interest in the financial services industry and operations.
- Responsive, friendly, and proactive approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload.
- Skilled in independently researching and resolving problems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Must complete all required training, including Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-money Laundering training, suitable to their position within the bank.
Job Functions:
- Prepare and submit commission workbooks monthly.
- Submit and send referral agreements.
- Prepare monthly journal entries and/or reconciliations for commission and various accounts.
- Process and pay invoices and draws as needed, including reimbursing expense reports.
- Participate in incentive planning and modeling potential commission changes.
- Complete 1086 packages for loan sales as needed.
- Ability to follow and reinforce Standard Operating Procedures while proactively identifying issues.
- Identify areas for process improvement to reduce the risk of errors.
- Maintain timely monthly reporting and tight deadlines.
- Research and resolve data discrepancies and respond to ad hoc requests.
- Provide support for other accounting-related tasks.
Operations Duties:
- Load deferral banners for commission entries.
- Review and process electronic titles, non-post items, and exception reports.
- Serve as a backup to Operations staff.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at times.
