    Job Summary

    We are seeking an Excavator to join our team! As an Excavator, you will be operating heavy equipment regularly, following architectural plans and guidance to ensure the job is properly completed, and following all necessary safety standards to avoid pipes, wires, and lines. You will also be performing daily, routine maintenance of the equipment you use, reporting any issues or defects for quick fixes, and maintaining a clean work environment. The ideal candidate has previous construction experience, can work well within a team environment, and is comfortable working on multiple different job sites and projects.

    Our main focus will be new home construction and involve things such as digging out for footers, backfilling foundations, excavating and installing sewer laterals and water lines to homes, and grading and finishing yards. Accepted applicant will mainly be operating excavators and tracked skid steers. All of our machinery is late model with cabs, heat, and air.

    Responsibilities

    Operate a variety of heavy machinery, following job supervisor and architectural specifications

    Maintain all equipment used, including cleaning, oiling, and greasing, to keep everything running well

    Work closely with all employees on the job site and help as needed to keep the project running on schedule

    Maintain records of maintenance on equipment, and report any issues immediately

    Follow all state, federal, and company safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment

    Qualifications

    Must hold a current state license, and be able to legally operate heavy machinery

    Previous experience working in a construction environment desired

    Strong communication skills

    The ability to work well within a team environment

    The ability to work in all weather conditions
