    Job Overview FM Steel is seeking experienced Journeymen Ironworkers to join our team. This pivotal role involves traveling to project sites in Colorado and Texas, before transitioning to a permanent role based in the greater Phoenix area. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in erecting the steel structures, demonstrating expertise in welding, bolting, and operating heavy machinery, all while adhering to the highest safety standards.

    Title: Journeyman Ironworker (JIW) Company: FM Steel Location: Initial assignments in CO and TX, with a permanent placement in Phoenix, Az. Compensation: $25-$32/hr DOE

    Responsibilities

    Accurately read and interpret drawings, sketches, and plans.

    Perform precise welding and bolting to secure steel beams and columns.

    Operate heavy machinery, including reach forklifts and aerial platform lifts, proficiently.

    Conduct work at significant heights, maintaining adherence to safety protocols.

    Collaborate seamlessly with team members and other trades to ensure project efficiency.

    Maintain and inspect tools and equipment, ensuring operational safety and reliability.

    Commit to continuous learning, staying abreast of industry advancements and safety practices.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent.

    Valid Driver’s License.

    Capability to lift up to 70lbs and meet the physical demands of steel erection.

    OSHA 10 certification.

    NCCER Journeyman Certification.

    Proficiency in SMAW 3G & 4G welding (certification or ability to pass a weld test).

    Rigging/Signal Person qualifications and Fall Protection training.
