Our established private pediatric practice is seeking a compassionate and motivated Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide comprehensive primary care to infants, children, and adolescents. The FNP will work closely with the pediatrician in a collaborative, team-based environment focused on high-quality, patient-centered care.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform well-child exams, sports physicals, and preventive visits
Conduct developmental screenings and provide anticipatory guidance
Diagnose and manage common acute pediatric conditions (e.g., URI, otitis media, gastroenteritis, minor injuries)
Manage stable chronic pediatric conditions in collaboration with the supervising physician
Administer and counsel regarding immunizations per CDC guidelines
Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests
Prescribe medications according to state regulations
Provide education and counseling to parents and caregivers
Document encounters accurately and timely in the electronic health record
Coordinate referrals to pediatric subspecialists when indicated
QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or FNP-BC)
Active RN and APRN license in the state of practice
Current DEA registration
Pediatric experience preferred
BLS certification required (PALS preferred)
