    We are hiring a Systems Analyst to help support multiple SaaS applications currently in flight, including an enterprise hoteling application and a learning management system. You will report directly to the Director of Shared Services in Maine IT. The Configuration Lead will be responsible for gathering information from agency stakeholders, defining requirements, and formulate solutions to complex business problems and document detailed technical specifications to develop and implement procured applications. To succeed in this role, you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.

    The three major areas of the Configuration Lead’s responsibilities will be:

    • Collaborate with the Project Manager(s), the business, and agency stakeholders to build a path to success and to define risk mitigation strategy when risks arise

    • Development of future-state business process models to address roadblocks, challenges, and opportunities

    • Develop clear and concise operational (functional and technical) requirements to be used for solution planning

    Role Description

    • Lead the configuration needs including partnering with agency SMEs and other cross-functional leads

    • Coordinate activities with implementation teams and business owners

    • Develop expertise with existing (legacy) process via review of documentation and requirements analysis

    • Attend business process analysis workshops and identify opportunities for improvement, areas for standardization, unique variances, and potential differences in functionality

    • Perform functional lead responsibilities, such as:

    o Gather and communication business operational requirements

    o Validate architecture and design

    o Gather reports and defining reporting requirements

    o Identify data to be migrated

    o Map and cleanse data

    o Validation of data migrations

    o Perform configuration

    o Test business processes and configurations

    o Develop state-specific training and documentation

    Skill 1 Highly proficient and experienced in gathering requirements

    Skill 2 Strong oral and written communication skills

    Skill 3 Highly proficient and experienced in configuring SaaS applications (Hoteling/Workspace Mgmt. or Learning Mgmt. Systems.)

    Highly proficient and experienced at gathering requirements:

    Experience conducting Facilitated Workshops for operational requirements analysis.

    Experience developing Functional operational requirements - describe what the system, process, or product/service must do in order to fulfill the

    business requirements.

    Experience developing User (stakeholder) operational requirements - are a very important part of the deliverables, the needs of the stakeholders will

    have to be correctly interpreted

    Experience developing Quality-of-service (non-functional) operational requirements - are requirements that do not perform a specific function for

    the business requirement but are needed to support the functionality. For example: performance, scalability, quality of service (QoS), security and

    usability in the operations of the application.

    Highly proficient and experienced in SaaS configuration (preferably in Learning Management and Hoteling systems)

    Experience in a state or other public sector organization

    Strong decision-making ability

    Strong oral and written communication skills

    Independently and effectively manage time using common-sense priority setting

    Experience developing Report Specifications - define the purpose of a report, its justification, attributes and columns, owners and runtime

    parameters
