We are seeking a Crew Chief based in our Forest Hill headquarters who will lead our operation through our next level of anticipated growth and beyond.

    POSITION: Crew Chief (Food Truck/Trailer)

    POSITION SUMMARY: The Crew Chief will report to the Director of Operations and will be an important member of Fuzzies management.

    This role is based in Forest Hill, MD and designated off-site locations TBD

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Keeping food and labor costs in line with the company budget

    Maintaining and reporting all kitchen inventory on Food Truck/Trailer to Director of Operations

    Projecting and reporting all necessary food and paper goods, cleaning and miscellaneous kitchen supplies, and kitchen equipment for purchase as needed to Director of Operations

    Training, supervising, and managing kitchen staff on Food Truck/Trailer

    Scheduling all kitchen staff and enforcing proper employee time entries

    Enforcing company policies and procedures

    Enforcing consistency of food preparation, cooking processes, and customer service

    Coordinating with Director of Operations to prepare monthly menu specials

    Enforcing health, safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards

    Providing the utmost customer service and guest experience at all times

    Maintaining, reporting, and scheduling all mechanical service repairs and maintenance, kitchen refrigeration and equipment maintenance on Food Truck/Trailer with Director of Operations

    Submitting a daily recap report to include average check times, any positive/negative guest feedback, refunds/comps/voids, mechanical/equipment issues, employee performance, daily specials performance, overall location success, and urgent matters that need attention

    Working any shifts required to cover an absent Prep Cook or Crew Cook as needed

    Networking and building relationships with Event Coordinators and Management at all public and private event locations

    Working in conjunction with Director of Events to provide event location results to successfully book future events accordingly based on KPI’s

    Continuously promoting the brand and driving guests to follow Fuzzies social media

    REQUIREMENTS:

    High School Diploma or equivalent

    Able to read, speak, comprehend and understand English

    3+ years experience as a sous chef, kitchen manager, or above in a high-volume setting

    Some direct management experience with all aspects of food service/restaurant management including labor and food costs, customer service, and properly addressing problems

    Some direct management experience in ordering/receiving/storing, menu development and food preparation, prep/line cooks, quality & consistency

    Maryland ServSafe certified

    Commercial vehicle and towing experience preferred and/or willingness to learn

    Reliable transportation and a clean driving record

    A passion for food and dedication to customer experience

    Positive attitude is a MUST - professional composure, being a team player, keeping emotions in check, controlling anger, and avoiding aggressive behavior even in difficult situations

    Responsible work ethic - this role requires being punctual, dependable, trustworthy, and thorough in completing all work obligations

    Ability to stand for extended periods, and lift 30+ pounds

    Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization and a strong sense of personal hygiene

    COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION STRUCTURE:

    $15.00-$35.00+ per hour (pending daily tip share)

    Our team is incentivized through a tip sharing system as a bonus to their base rate (starting at $15.00 per hour)
