    Job Description

    TITLE:                          SALES SUPPORT REPRESENTATIVE DEPARTMENT:            SALES REPORTING TO:          DIRECTOR OF SALES - WEST LOCATION:                  WESTERN US; PNW SUMMARY The ideal candidate is analytical, a people person with excellent communication skills, and possesses the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Additionally, this individual should be extremely organized with superior problem-solving skills, and a willingness to help at all levels. 

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS SALES ANALYSIS AND REPORT CREATION 

    • Create quarterly retail reports providing insight and highlighting the changes and shifts in the business 
    • Run sales reports from Navision, SPINS, and other databases for regular business reviews, sales meetings, executive presentations, pitch meetings, etc. 
    • Managing Customer portals such as Retailer portals for item management and sales reporting  
      • Quarterly Customer Reports
      • YOY Reports

       

    • Help with sales projections: pull customer lists, purchase histories, analyze ordering trends

     

    SALES CRM MANAGEMENT 

    • Act as a point-person for ensuring valid, current, and cohesive information is consistently entered and updated in our sales CRM platform 
    • Develop expertise in all data models and tools used in CRM
    • Leverage data and business knowledge to drive improvement and usage of the CRM
    • Assist the sales team, when needed, to enter information or troubleshoot issues 
    • Run reports based on functionalities built into the CRM, analyze for results/trends and report back to Sales Director or Executive management team

     

    MANAGE CUSTOMER PORTALS 

    • Utilize Customer Portals for account and item management, new item setups, and sales reports.

     

    SALES SUPPORT 

    • Provide price quotes 
    • Manage Deviation Letters 
    • Facilitate and help with completion of RFPs: manage the collection of data from different departments, organize and complete the documentation, and submit according to deadline
    • Assist sales team at customer trade show booths and in-store demonstrations 
    • Submit sample requests in the FOODMatch portal 
    • Coordinate and help plan National Sales Meetings, Annual Directors Summit, and Summer & Winter Fancy Food Shows 
    • Qualify and input in the CRM all leads generated through trade shows, events, and direct inquiries 
    • Provide sales data for broker/customer reviews 
    • Provide fulfillment reports for specific customers and/or time frames 
    • Research special projects
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance or related field preferred
    • 2+ years’ analyst experience and/or customer service experience preferred
    • Previous use of a CRM and order tooling skills (Navision) preferred
    • Experience in the food industry or a knowledge of the FOODMatch product line is beneficial

     

    SKILL & ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

    • Meticulous attention to detail 
    • Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Excel 
    • Excellent communication and analytical skills – written and verbal 
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work across departments

       

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

    • This role requires minimal travel
