The Job: This job involves becoming part of a team and helping professionals in recovery from substance use disorders. We are looking for a very professional individual who will be at ease interacting with other professionals in recovery. This is a very challenging job requiring multi-tasking, accurate charting, excellent interpersonal skills, and love of a constantly-changing work flow. You will be assisting the program manager and clinical director in maintaining records, posting and billing sessions, scheduling and answering the telephone. This position can be part time or full time, 25-30 hours per week.
Must have:
Certificate or license in mental health field, or equivalent experience
Extensive knowledge of HIPAA and other related requirements.
Knowledge of social and/or clinical models of recovery as well as 12-step programs
Prior experience working in a professional office setting
two years minimum of experience working in the drug and alcohol treatment field
If sober (in recovery from alcohol and/or drug addiction), 2 years of abstinence is required
The Case Manager is a member of the Behavioral Health team providing outpatient alcohol and substance abuse services to professionals with substance use disorders or co-occurring physical and mental health challenges. The Case Manager/Substance Abuse Counselor advocates recovery by providing strategies to maintain abstinence or harm reduction from alcohol or drug use or other compulsive behaviors and helping to remove barriers to recovery through counseling and other supportive services.
