They must be a friendly, responsible, organized individual who enjoys working with the public and has strong communication skills. This individual welcomes patients, answers telephones calls in a knowledgeable and professional manor and manages the priorities in this fast paced, growing ENT practice.

    Candidate Expectations for Front Desk Representative:

    Welcome and greet patients and visitors

    Answer a large volume of calls daily

    Schedule Appointments

    Assist patients with understanding their insurance benefits

    Enter and maintain accurate records in the electronic health record system.

    Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care and billing processes.

    Support the department with any additional tasks as needed.

    Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments.

    Collect co-pays, deductibles, deposits and post payments.

    Attention to detail and organization abilities. Problem solve.

    Dependable, punctual attendance

    Maintain patient confidentiality

    Capable of working in a fast paced, high pressure, high volume work space

    Able to sit for long periods of time

    Experience/Qualification:

    High school diploma or equivalent; advanced education in healthcare administration preferred.

    Minimum of 1 years experience in medical background

    Strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes.

    Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered demeanor.

    Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software. (Eclincial Works preferred)

    Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

    Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
