Position Summary
The Billing Estimator is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting accurate contents restoration estimates and invoices. This role works closely with Project Managers, adjusters, and production teams to ensure all services are properly documented, billed, and compliant with insurance and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review Xactimate estimates for contents restoration projects
Ensure billing accuracy for:
Pack-out and pack-back services
Cleaning and restoration of contents
Storage, deodorization, and disposal
Labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
Audit project documentation (photos, inventories, notes) to support billing
Submit invoices and estimates to insurance carriers and follow up as needed
Address billing discrepancies, revisions, and adjuster requests
Maintain organized and compliant claim files
Communicate with Project Managers regarding scope changes and pricing
Ensure estimates meet company profitability and insurance guidelines
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
2+ years estimating or billing experience in restoration (contents preferred)
Xactimate experience strongly preferred
Knowledge of insurance claims and contents restoration processes
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to manage multiple files in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
