We help develop messaging, map relevant stakeholders, and create measurable policy goals and solutions. Ultimately, we help our clients develop the tools needed to advocate for policy outcomes and connect our clients with decision-makers. We aim to build open, ongoing, and authentic relationships to make meaningful contributions to the policy ecosystem.    Primary ResponsibilitiesIn this role, the Government Relations Intern will assist the Government Relations team in drafting hearing summary memos and providing research relevant to client business and objectives. Hearing summary memos involve watching relevant Congressional hearings or related events and synthesizing the information into a clear summary for clients and colleagues. The research includes monitoring multiple news sources, stakeholder mapping, and delving into specific topics relevant to client needs. The Government Relations Intern will also be expected to help support the team across ongoing client work and help organize various tasks. Interns will have the opportunity to learn about public affairs strategy in the financial services sector, and the current political and regulatory environments, and get hands-on experience with researchers, industry experts, and policymakers.  ExpectationsInterns are an integral part of the Government Relations team and provide significant support to the work we do. The internship requires a minimum of 20 hours per week and a commitment to high-quality deliverables and productive communication in a virtual environment. FS Vector will teach top-level skills, share knowledge, provide constructive feedback, and answer questions in a supportive, non-judgmental environment to aid in the success of our future colleagues.  SkillsInterested candidates should display an interest in financial services policy, politics, and regulation, as well as an interest in working with emerging technology companies. Candidates should also have an interest in gaining experience at an advisory firm that operates at the intersection of business, technology, and finance. Most importantly, we are looking for candidates who are creative, motivated and possess a high level of intellectual curiosity.
