Job Description
FSC LIGHTING is looking for an experienced Marketing Manager that will spearhead FSC’s marketing department. This person will develop a marketing plan, oversee FSC’s website, REP portal, execution of training programs, provide sales support, and drive FSC’s brand awareness.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, the ability to understand and analyze trends, a full understanding of marketing channels, and the ability to think/move fast. This position reports to the SVP of Sales & Marketing.
JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create a yearly marketing plan, monitor, and review on a quarterly/annual basis
• Development of marketing strategies to drive brand awareness and corporate identity
• Develop and implement marketing plans, promotional calendars, and new product introductions
• Monitor marketing costs and budgets
• Assist with sales forecasting and product branding plans
• Write Creative and technical copy
• Conduct brand and product research initiatives
• Advise on the development of innovative advertising, public/social media, and events
• Negotiate with media partners to guarantee advantageous rates
• Work with the sales team on brand initiatives
• Manage agencies and contract negotiations
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Grow marketing team, including hiring, training, schedules, workloads, and deadlines
• Host bi-monthly marketing status meetings for sales team with SVP of Sales
• Oversee all marketing materials including print materials and giveaway items
• Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, advertising, and promotions
• Design and organize information for company presentations
• Ensure consistency in marketing materials and online social media accounts
• Oversee the operation of website and email marketing programs
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Outstanding leadership skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Preferred design skills in Adobe applications (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Video/photography skills including editing (Lightroom, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe After Effects)
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Able to work cooperatively and effectively with different departments, vendors, and clients
• Transition seamlessly among projects of varying scale, audience, format, and distribution channel
