    FSQA Manager – Meat Processing Facility
    Location: Greater NYC Area (Relocation Support Available)

    We’re working with a protein manufacturing company seeking an experienced FSQA Manager to lead plant-level quality and food safety operations across two production shifts. This role plays a key leadership role in regulatory compliance, audit readiness, team development, and sanitation oversight within a USDA-inspected facility.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and update food safety plans and internal quality systems

    • Act as primary contact for federal food safety inspectors; respond to findings and maintain documentation

    • Supervise daily QA activities, including GMP inspections and spec compliance

    • Support and lead third-party food safety audits and customer visits

    • Oversee sanitation operations provided by a contracted cleaning service

    • Manage a small team including salaried and hourly FSQA personnel

    • Coordinate seasonal shift adjustments and provide oversight during peak production months

    • Contribute to product quality improvements, training initiatives, and issue resolution

    Schedule Details:

    • Core hours: Weekdays, daytime

    • Peak season: Oversee second shift operations (without necessarily working them daily)

    What They’re Looking For:

    • Prior leadership experience in a USDA-regulated meat or protein facility

    • Strong familiarity with HACCP, SQF or BRC protocols

    • Comfortable interfacing with regulatory agencies

    • 5+ years of progressive experience in food manufacturing

    • Bachelor’s degree required (open on field of study), Master’s a plus

    Compensation & Perks:

    • Target salary range: $100k–$120k (may stretch higher for exceptional candidates)

    • Bonus eligibility

    • Relocation package includes lump-sum assistance and short-term housing support

    Additional Info:
    This role reports to the plant’s operational leadership team and collaborates closely with corporate QA and executive stakeholders. The previous manager held the role for several years and left on good terms due to personal/family reasons. The team is stable and includes supervisory and hourly support.

    $100,000-$125,000 per year
