Civilian position on Fort Carson Army Base
CLEAR LEGIBLE REPORTING (CLR) JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Busy Call Center supporting the military community's medical appointments
Provide customer service, referral tracking, referral appointments and scheduling, and reporting activities.
Supports the daily functions of specialty care referral appointing, referral review and coordination, beneficiary counseling and referral tracking.
Make clinical appointments and coordinate appointments with other direct care facilities as required.
Determine patient eligibility for services and arranges and schedules medical appointments for referred care.
Proficiency is required in the use of all updated clinical scheduling software packages, such as DEERS and AHLTA
Contact patients to schedule, reschedule, and/or cancel appointments.
Adhere to outlined timeframes for scheduling purposes.
Ability to understand the entire functioning of the scheduling unit and be able to understand the importance of each aspect of their duties as it affects the entire operation.
Obtain documentation as requested by healthcare providers (test results, or documentation not yet filed in records).
Ensure referral results are returned to the referring provider and to the medical record within required timelines.
Assist with follow up, written or verbal, as necessary.
