The client is seeking a Recruitment Specialist & Company Ambassador to play a pivotal role in the firm’s business growth and success. In this position, you support the firm’s strategic talent initiatives by sourcing and assessing exceptional candidates aligned to our mission and values and who wish to join a powerful team of change agents. You act as a firm ambassador who supports recruitment marketing initiatives and looks for creative ways to market the company as an exceptional place to work and grow, both personally and professionally. This is a full-time position based in our Washington, D.C. office near DuPont Circle. The position reports to the Human Resources Director. The HR team is fast paced, team oriented, and passionate about the candidate and employee experience.
RECRUITMENT/STRATEGIC SOURCING
Source, qualify and match candidates to defined positions which consist of change management consulting and business functional positions (i.e., finance, contracts, office services, etc.)
Interact with senior leadership, hiring managers, and the HR team to develop a thorough understanding of the positions you are sourcing, determine personnel needs and position requirements, develop strategies for how to fill positions, and offer coaching and solutions based thinking to enhance the recruiter-hiring manager partnership
Create innovative, well written, and researched position descriptions and subsequently posts to appropriate media; identify new language or formats to attract applicants
Design and implement candidate assessments into TC’s recruitment and candidate evaluation process with support from hiring managers/management
Asses applicant qualifications by comparing qualifications to job requirements, gather initial feedback from hiring managers, and conduct applicant phone screens
Partner with hiring managers and interview teams to assess and select talent; ensure candidates are evaluated on a consistent set of qualifications
Coordinate candidate interviews
Ensure TC employees are trained and routinely coached on how to be an effective interviewer and company ambassador; revamp and maintain TC’s Interview Guidelines; create, deliver, and maintain interview training for TC staff
Stay abreast of recruitment compliance (OFCCP & EEO) and ensure TC’s recruitment and interviewing approach align
Verbally extend offers, draft and deliver written offers, and secure acceptances
Utilize TC’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS) (Paychex) to document recruitment activity
Ensure our ATS aligns to our business needs and process; Oversee our ATS to ensure alignment with compliance and routinely audit user performance; provide coaching and training where needed
Implement and track recruitment KPIs
COMPANY AMBASSADOR
Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the firm’s business strategy, services, sectors, and sales pipeline to proactively implement recruitment strategies; Effectively convey TC’s value proposition by helping candidates understand who we are, what we do, and what we have to offer employees
Utilize all candidate sourcing resources available (Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Web, Social Media, Job Fairs, University Partnerships) to build candidate pipelines and engage qualified candidates; identify new resources to build a talent pipeline and engage with candidates
Develop and maintain contacts with universities, alumni groups, and other public and private organizations, including diversity organizations, to support the firm’s diversity initiatives
Work closely with the marketing team and leadership to develop and execute innovative strategies to leverage our marketing strategy and engagements (e.g., Conferences, speaking engagements, thought leadership initiatives) to advance TC’s recruiting objectives
Partner with our market-facing teams as appropriate to identify and attract talent
Optimize the candidate and employee experience from beginning of the recruiting process through start date; partner with HR and L&D on onboarding process
Research, coordinate, and participate in job fairs and industry conferences/networking events to promote the firm and employment opportunities
Implement and maintain applicant outreach campaigns – ensuring consistent outreach and relationship building with organizations that support employment for diverse candidates (veterans, individuals with disabilities, etc.)
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of 7 years of technical recruiting/sourcing experience
Experience managing 10-15 open positions at a given time
Working knowledge of federal and state employment and labor laws and OFCCP and EEO compliance
Strong Microsoft office experience; specifically with Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Superior organization skills
Experience with administering and managing Applicant Tracking Systems and advertising positions on LinkedIn and various job posting boards
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated acumen or experience in social or human capital development
Demonstrated understanding or experience with customer experience metrics and approach
Strong negotiation and relationship building skills
Tenacity and diligence to source passive candidates in an extremely competitive market
Can take direction quickly and work independently
Ability to quickly establish rapport with candidates and colleagues
